Children experience intensive brain development during the first three years of life and require nurturing, responsive relationships and environments that help them to thrive and reach their full potential. In this workshop, participants will gain insight for arranging environments for infants, toddlers and their families, identify several ways environments meet the developmental needs of infants and toddlers, and create spaces and arrange materials that invite exploration. In this workshop we will also discuss the benefits of using validated environmental assessment tools to ensure high quality programs.
