The EDI (Early Development Instrument) is used to monitor children's developmental health at school entry. Children are assessed in the 5 EDI developmental domains: Physical Health & Well-Being, Social Competence, Emotional Maturity, Language & Cognitive Development and Communication Skills & General Knowledge. This data is then grouped into 3 categories: Vulnerable, At Risk or On Track. EDI examines and reports in terms of vulnerability. Finally, we will look at how we use the EDI data for system planning and knowledge mobilization. Duration: 20 minutes
