This practical session led by an experienced employment lawyer, will address some challenging questions to help EarlyON Providers navigate through the following:
• Can Employers Mandate Vaccines? Is it discriminatory and can you develop a policy on mandating vaccines?
• Does it breach privacy laws to ask employees for proof of vaccination and to collect this information?
• Do other employees and parents have the right to know whether staff have been vaccinated?
• Understanding the 3 paid sick days mandated by the Province
• Understanding the ins and outs of Infectious Disease Leave and what it can and can’t be used for
• Understanding the rules of lay-offs and constructive dismissal if the centre terminates or changes positions of an employee
